About - UAW Local 1558

United Aerospace Workers - UAW Local 1558 was chartered in 1968 when our plant was owned by North American Aviation, the Company that built the P-51 Mustang during World War II. Since that time our plant has changed names and ownership numerous time; North American Rockwell, Rockwell, Boeing North American, Boeing and currently Spirit AeroSystems. We've managed to work together, over the past 48 years, to secure decent working conditions pay and benefits for our members, while making a profit for the company we work for, no matter the name on the building, UAW Local 1558 has been the constant, Because of you; the membership that make UAW Local 1558! 


As members of this great union, we all have a calling, to do our part, in making ours a better union; In making our working conditions in our plant safer, in seeking democracy in the workplace and securing a good livelihood for ourselves and our families. Answer the call. Read and understand your Contract. Read and understand your UAW Constitution. Read and understand your Local Union Bylaws. Help each other at work, as true Brothers and Sisters. And above all... Attend your monthly union meetings!
